ABOUT
Adamson Woodworking is a husband and wife team that was launched in 2022. After successful careers working for both small local businesses to global Fortune 500 companies, Andrea and Bob decided to start their own business together.
Our focus is on fine woodworking. We create custom handmade pieces for our clients. From large in home projects (think custom furniture, mantels or built-ins), to small home accessories (charcuterie boards, jewelry boxes, or wood wall art).
Our motto is “you think it, we build it!” Together with our clients, we design custom pieces that are unique to our clients. We custom build and deliver pieces that are handmade with care and craftsmanship.
Our philosophy is to use the “whole” tree. How do we do that? Instead of tossing what some would call waste or “scrap” pieces, we collect them. We use these pieces to make wood wall art, candle holders, holiday decorations, cutting boards, toaster tongs, cooking utensils, kid toys and so much more! In addition, we use our saw dust to make outdoor fire pit starters, and we mix it for compost or mulch.
Our Team
We are a husband and wife team, with assistance from our two sons and our three cats.
Master Craftsman
Bob “BA” Adamson
Chief Ninja | Top Tinkerer
Hi, I’m Bob or as my friends like to call me “B.A.” A native of Virginia, I live in McLean with my family. After a career in sales for many decades, I followed my passion and started creating fine woodworking pieces for friends and family. I quickly branched out and built a local customer base, creating unique and one of a kind pieces for clients. When I’m not in my wood shop building, sanding or tinkering, my passions include playing sports with my kids, sailing, reading and general “geeking” out on the Science, History or Weather Channels.
Andrea Adamson
Chief Guru | Wizard of Whatever
Hi, I’m Andrea and I am originally from Louisville, KY. I came to DC for college and then went to law school in Boston. I headed back to DC right after graduation. After a successful legal career, I transitioned to a career in business development within the architectural and commercial construction industry. After much success for over a decade as a BD executive, it was time for my next move so Adamson Woodworking was born. In my “free” time I like to cook, enjoy an adult bev or two, and play tennis baseball or basketball with the boys.
